What is an executive leadership coach?
To realize their full potential, athletes depend on their coaches to teach, train, and mentor them. In the same way, an executive leadership coach develops the skills of their clients through a collaborative relationship that discovers where the leader is, where they want to go, and how to get there.
Becca Spahr, MA, CLC
Described as “bossy” by her first grade teacher, Becca has long stood out as a confident leader. That was a good start, but leading teams in high-pressure environments during her 20-year career as a U.S. Marine officer taught her that compassion and kindness were far greater motivators than bossiness. As a leadership coach, Becca uses her considerable experience in leadership and management, human resources, conflict resolution, and soft skills to help people refine their leadership styles so they can be inspiring leaders of amazing teams.
Becca is a Certified Life Coach and entrepreneur who holds a bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in International Relations from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Becca has worked as a human resources and manpower manager, an Inspector General, a project manager, and is a certified Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection Officer, as well as a Combat Life Saver. She is also a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington and has designed and taught executive-level etiquette, soft skills, and social skills classes.
She lives in Harrisburg, PA, with her husband, 2 daughters, 4 dogs, 3 gerbils, and a hermit crab. When she gets a few minutes to herself, you can find her enjoying the outdoors, gardening, or volunteering.
